Portofino Island Resort was under construction when Hurricane Isabel made landfall causing extensive damage the “completed buildings” and “buildings under construction”.  The storm force winds caused extensive damages to finishes while corroding interior framing.

This loss involved complex, multiple insurance coverages, including but not limited to “Property & Casualty”, “Builders Risk” and “Inland Marine”.

Initially, the insurance claims were denied.  Anderson secured a full claim recovery for damages under all coverages.
